The influence of a flow profile and inhomogeneity of medium on measurements of flow parameters

Abstract

The errors of the measurement of velocities of signal propagation and flow caused by inhomogeneity of medium under investigation and by profile of the flow are estimated. It is shown that the errors of the measurement of velocity of acoustic signals propagation do not exceed 1.5% even at great Mach number. Meanwhile, the measurement error of the flow of velocity reaches 7%.
