Stimulation of chemical decomposition of molecules by ultrasound
Abstract
The stability of 4-hydroxy-6-methyl-2-pirimidinilthioacetic acid aqueous solution when solution is affected by ultrasonic waves is investigated. The bath used for investigations had ultrasound transducer with the frequency 34 kHz. The quantitative analysis is based on measurements of a hydrogen potential. The pH dependencies of the solution versus ultrasonic waves power and time have been measured. It has been established that when intensity of the ultrasonic waves is higher than a cavitation threshold, the intensive erosion of molecules in solution begins and causes irrevocable change of the properties of the solution. The spectral analysis showed that the ultrasonic wave influence at the solution and made the structure more stable.Downloads
