Analysis of radial mode resonance and antiresonance using finite elements method
Abstract
Theoretical approach to radial mode oscillations of a piezoelectrical disk is well known. The proposed approach can be used in the case of a thin disk only. In the case of a thick disk radial resonance frequencies are shifted to lower frequencies and theoretical approach gives inaccurate results. Frequencies mismatching amounts to 10% and more in this case. Finite elements method (FEM) gives better accuracy of simulations because influence of a thicknes mode is evaluated. Impedance curve fitting in FEM analysis may be used for determination of the piezoelectric constante d31 also.Downloads
