Influence of pressure on detection of leakage place in the pipeline during the hydraulic tests
Abstract
An influence of the gas temperature in a pipeline on the accuracy of the acoustic correlation method used for determination of the leakage co-ordinates is investigated. New algorithms for determination of leakage co-ordinates in the gas pipeline with consideration of influence of gas temperature changes, hydraulic tests are created. It has been revealed that when the damaged place of the gas pipeline is determined. During the hydraulic tests the absolute deflection of the determined co-ordinates of the leakage may reach several meters if the gas temperature changes are not evaluated. It is shown that this deflection is in directly related to the pipeline length and the distance of leakage from the centre of the pipeline under investigation. The results of modelling, when the length and diameter of the section under control, the location of leakage and pressure inside the pipeline are varied, are presented.Downloads
