Caches in DSP processors
Keywords:

The paper discusses the use of caches in DSP processors. We start by introducing the principle of locality and giving a short cache overview. Then we present quantitative issues concerning caches and ways to measure cache performance. DSP cache specifics and real-time constraints are discussed further. We end up with two DSP cache case studies, particularly Texas Instruments C6211/C6711 and Motorola DSP56300.Downloads
