The experimental investigation of spatial resolution of ultrasonic coordinate meter
Abstract
The accuracy of an ultrasonic coordinate meter system is analyzed in the presented publication. The performance of the system is based on the binaural approach. The system includes one mobile transmitting unit and two receivers situated at some distance from each other. Infrared signals are used for synchronization of the transmitters and receivers. The cross-correlation analysis is used for the estimation of the delay time of ultrasonic signals. The results of the experimental investigation of the system resolution are presented also. The area of reliable performance of the system is determined as 20m in front of the transmitters and ±10m in lateral direction. The uncertainty of the position determination, even at the distance 20m is less then ±0.12m.Downloads
