Investigation of generation of surface acoustic waves by pulsed laser
Abstract
The experimental results of excitation of surface acoustic waves in solid isotropic bodies by a ruby pulsed laser are presented. It was shown that using laser pulses we can generate with high efficiency transversal surface acoustic waves (Rayleigh waves) and also longitudinal surface acoustic waves remotely in solids without special preparation of their surfaces.Downloads
